
Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, a leading real estate brokerage, announced today the appointment of John Lindstrand as Broker-in-Charge overseeing the company’s Commercial division, Carolina Forest, and North End offices, strengthening its leadership team with extensive expertise in brokerage operations, investment strategy, and industry advocacy.
Lindstrand is a United States Marine Corps veteran who served during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Following his military service, he spent nearly a decade as a deep-sea commercial diver, working on complex underwater projects around the world and developing a disciplined, mission-driven leadership style.
After transitioning from diving, Lindstrand held corporate leadership roles with KPMG and Marsh & McLennan in New York City, gaining experience in analytics, risk management, and high-performance business environments. He relocated to Myrtle Beach in 2005 and began investing in distressed real estate, ultimately launching a full-time real estate career.
Since entering sales full time in 2008, Lindstrand has become recognized as one of South Carolina’s leading short sale specialists, successfully negotiating hundreds of complex transactions with financial institutions. He has closed more than 900 transactions across residential, commercial, and investment real estate.
As Broker-in-Charge, Lindstrand brings broker-level expertise in commercial valuation, income-producing asset analysis, and investment deal structuring. He is also an active real estate investor with holdings across residential rentals, multifamily, commercial, and land assets. His background includes accredited training in home inspection and mortgage brokerage, providing comprehensive insight into the real estate transaction process.
Lindstrand has served on the Board of Directors for the Coastal Carolina Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) and the South Carolina Association of REALTORS® (SCR). His service also includes contributions to CCAR’s Legislative, Candidate Screening, and Professional Education Committees, as well as serving as RPAC Chair for CCAR and RPAC Trustee Co-Chair for SCR.

Lindstrand and his wife, Wanda, have been married for 19 years and have one daughter, Tara, who served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
