Local Event Roundup – July 2026

July is one of the best times to experience the South Carolina coast, with fireworks lighting up the sky, live music filling the evenings, and festivals and family-friendly events happening all month long. Whether you’re looking for a fun night out, a new local tradition, or ways to make the most of summer, we’ve rounded up some of the top events happening around our area this July.

North Myrtle Beach

Music on Main Concert Series

When: Every Thursday (June-Sept) from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.

Where: The Horseshoe; 11 South Ocean Blvd, NMB, SC, 29582

About: Get ready to dance into summer with the return of the Music on Main concert series! Held every Thursday evening from June through September at the iconic The Horseshoe, this free, family-friendly tradition brings live music, dancing, and community fun to Main Street all summer long. Each week features a different band playing everything from beach music and R&B to rock and country.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series

When: 3rd Friday (June-Sept) from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

Where: North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex; 150 Citizens Cir, Little River, SC 29566

About: Enjoy an evening with your family and friends listening to live music at the amphitheater at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. Each concert will feature a different band playing family-friendly music. Bring a beach chair or blanket. For your convenience, food and drinks will be available for purchase. Tobacco products, coolers, outside food, and beverages are not allowed.

Conway

Horry County Museum Fossil & Shell Show

When: Saturday, July 11, 2026

Where: 805 Main St, Conway, SC 29526-4343

About: The Horry County Museum presents a free, family friendly, event to learn about the variety of fossils and shells that can be found throughout South Carolina! Join us from 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, July 11, 2026 for a variety of exhibitors, presentations, and hands on activities. Exhibitors include: Discovery School at Myrtle Beach, EdVenture Children’s Museum Myrtle Beach, Grand Strand Shell Club, Myrtle Beach & Huntington Beach State Parks, North Myrtle Beach Area Historical Museum, and Ripley’s Aquarium.

5th Annual Strongman Luca James Charity Golf Tournament

When: Saturday, July 18, 2026; 8:30 am

Where: 500 Burning Ridge Dr, Conway, SC 29526

About: Support children and families facing cancer while enjoying a day on the golf course. Participants can take part in an 18-hole Captain’s Choice tournament featuring contests, raffles, a silent auction, cash prizes, breakfast, lunch, and an awards ceremony, with all proceeds benefiting the foundation’s mission.

Salute from the Shore

Where: South Caroline Coastline from Cherry Grove to Bluffton

About: Beachgoers are invited to gather along the South Carolina coast to honor our military with a patriotic flyover featuring active-duty aircraft and historic Warbirds. Bring your flags, wear your red, white, and blue, and join in celebrating the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes

First Friday Art Walk

When: The First Friday of Every Month

Santa Stroll 5k

About: Get ready for a festive 5K where summer fun meets holiday spirit! Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite holiday-themed attire and enjoy a morning of running, community, and post-race celebrations. The event will also support the Socastee Food Pantry through a non-perishable food drive, giving runners a chance to make a difference while having fun.

Myrtle Duck Festival

Murrells Inlet

July 5 Cleanup

When: Sunday, July 5, 2026; 9:00 am – 11:30 am

About: With the influx of visitors over July 4th, what better time than now to ban together and clean up Murrells Inlet!? Join Murrells Inlet 2020 and the MarshWalk restaurants for the Annual July 5th Community Clean-Up! All supplies will be provided. To help find solutions to litter issues, take part in data collection during the cleanup!

75 Days of Summer on the Marshwalk

When: June 1, 2026; 10:00 am – August 31, 2026; 10:00 pm

Where: The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk

About: Summer is officially here, and so is 75 Days of Summer on the MarshWalk! From June 1–August 31, enjoy featured summer cocktails at participating restaurants along the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, including favorites like Bovine’s Wood Fired Specialties, Wahoo’s Fish House, Drunken Jack’s, Creek Ratz, Dead Dog Saloon, The Claw House, Wicked Tuna Grill & Sushi Bar, and Inlet View Bar & Grill.

Summer Light: Art by Night

4th of July Parade

When: Saturday, July 4, 2026; 9:00 am

Where: South Causeway – Old Town Hall

About: The annual Pawleys Island Fourth of July Parade is approaching! Here is a breakdown of all the major details you need to know:

Parade Starts at 10am at the South Causeway. The South Causeway will close at 9am except for vehicles participating in the parade. The North Causeway will remain open to traffic until 10am.
